When we first walked in, I had my doubts as it seemed like kind of a dark bar, but was very pleasantly surprised. The have an additional brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays, which several of us ordered from.
Out of our group, we ordered 2 Bloody Marys and one Mimosa. Both were quite tasty. The Bloody Marys came with quite the vegetable garnish, including a dill pickle spear, and everyone was happy. We also ordered Fried Dill Pickles, which I had never had, which I really liked. They are deep fat fried, so probably not low-cal.
I ordered the veggie omelet, substituted fruit for the potatoes and ordered naan for my bread choice. Excellent! Husband got Corned Beef and Hash. Eggs were cooked to his specification and he slicked up his plate. One person is gluten-free, so she got Chicken in the Nude. (The catchy name made for a fair amount of wisecracks!) It was served on rice noodles, and had such generous portions that she took part of it home. Other person got Fish and Chips. Yes, they had malt vinegar so he was a happy camper. Last person got Pickled Beet and Kale salad. I was not overly impressed with it. My "taste impression" was that it should have been colder and crisper. All in all, though, portions were generous, prices were quite reasonable, and we look forward to returning. -

One of the better spots of Colorado Springs if you're looking for a cozy spot for food or drinks. The menu tends to be pretty basic for American fare but everything is solid and fairly priced. I came for brunch for the first time and recommend the Bloody Mary -- wasn't watered down which I appreciated.
The chicken and waffles are a personal favorite but I tried the steak and eggs scramble this time. Nothing life changing but still a solid meal. -

We had high hopes for this restaurant; the decor was cool and the menu sounded interesting, but the service and the food was seriously lacking. I maybe could have overlooked the food issues just heavy handed seasoning, but our server was so unbelievably rude to us presumably because we had a child that the whole meal just left me with a sour taste.
Let's start with the food. We got an order of brussel sprouts as an appetizer. They were tasty, but a little overcooked so you could only eat about half since most of it was burnt. My cousin and I both ordered the steak tacos. Both were so spicy we could barely eat them or taste any flavors. We are not afraid of spicy foods, but these were rediculous. My husband got the steak sandwich and while more flavorful it was similarly spicy, but with horseradish. Totally cleared out the sinuses. Fries were good though. My son got the chicken fingers and carrots off the kids menu. Keep in mind that this restaurant has a kids menu so I don't know why the server had so much attitude towards my son. Anyways, they serve these monster sized carrots chunks that were impossible for my son to eat and a choking hazard for a two year old so I asked if they could be cooked. (I've done this at other restaurants with absolutely no issues.) The waiter then snapped at me that they didn't have a microwave and that there was "no way they could be cooked" with such attitude. So he suggests having them cut smaller we agreed and he snatches all my sons food away from him while the kid is eating! This is a hungry sensitive two year old who is mid-bite. When he got the chicken back he was scared to eat it. He thought someone had taken a bite. The waiter then threw the plate of carrots on the table. It was extremely uncomfortable. The server then charged us for an additional meal that they didn't have available. This is not an establishment I would return to. -

This place is what makes COS great! The fresh hand made everything. Every dish was tremendous .Mahi Mahi fish and chips is hard to beat! Monday wine wine night was a great deal. Spanish red half off. Even my kids loved it all. Can't wait to go back. If you like food, you must go here. The waitress was tremendous. Staff was delightful. Great atmosphere. They did a great job all around.
Many lunches and dinners to come. -

Best mimosas, chicken & waffles (spend the extra $2 for bacon filled waffles), fresh fruit platter & boozy coffee! My husband got the bacon platter, biscuits and gravy and vodka coffee and loved it all. Our waiter, Josh, was so pleasant to be around and so funny, quick and great at checking in with our table even once it started to get busy. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back! (We came in at 9 on a Sunday to beat the crowd)!
ETA: Josh even brought me a second piece of chicken because he said the first one wasn't up to par. It was deliciously seasoned, and went so well with the meal!
